David Ferrera, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department, has been named a 2025 Go To Commercial/Consumer Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The attorneys selected for this honor were nominated by their colleagues and chosen by a panel from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

A top-tier litigator who defends companies in complex and multi-jurisdictional cases, David often distills intricate scientific concepts into clear, compelling narratives for judges and juries. Both in-house counsel and external legal teams regularly turn to David for his ability to make witness testimony and legal arguments accessible to lay people’s understanding while still firmly rooted in sound science. As his litigation practice has grown globally, David has adapted his expertise to navigate diverse legal systems and cultural contexts. He frequently plays an advisory role in high-stakes litigation across Australia, India, England, Ireland, Germany, Italy, and Canada.

A leader in the legal field, David was recently appointed President-Elect of the Boston Bar Foundation. He is an invitation-only member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
