David Ferrera Named President-Elect of the Boston Bar Foundation

David Ferrera, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department, has been appointed President-Elect of the Boston Bar Foundation (BBF). In this capacity, David will advance the BBF’s mission to promote justice by funding and promoting innovation in the delivery of legal services, facilitating access to legal counsel in underserved communities, and supporting the public service projects and pro bono work of the Boston Bar Association.

David is a seasoned and respected leader in the BBF, having previously served as Treasurer and on its Executive Committee. He is a longtime member of the BBF Grants Committee and served as its Chair from 2019 to 2023.

At Nutter, David draws upon his 30 years of experience in Massachusetts federal and state courts to deliver pragmatic solutions in a broad variety of commercial matters. As chair of Nutter’s Product Liability Practice Group, he represents medical device and pharmaceutical companies in courtrooms around the country presenting various fields of medical science to lay juries and courts. David is also an invitation-only member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In 2021, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly acknowledged David with an “Excellence in Pro Bono” award for his many years of service to the Greater Boston community.
