Nutter announced today that Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) 2019 recognized the firm for excellence in Private Wealth Law in Massachusetts. According to the guide, Nutter’s Private Client Department is "a very strong estate planning group."

Four Nutter lawyers were recognized as notable practitioners: Peter Brown, Natalie Choate, Thomas Jalkut, and William Kirchick. Brown was praised as a "core estate planner" and "an excellent lawyer," with a source adding, "I know if he's working on a matter it's going to go smoothly - he just gets it done." He has particular expertise in the arts and charitable giving. Choate was lauded for being "nationally renowned for her work on the qualified retirement plan. She's written the definitive bible for estate planning with retirement assets." Sources described her as "untouchable," "a legend," "the best in the country" and "the go-to person on estate planning for retirement benefits." Jalkut provides technical guidance to individuals, families, and family offices on probate legislation, trust law, and estate planning techniques. Sources enthuse that "He is an excellent practitioner," with another stating that he is "probably one of the best in Boston" in probate matters. Kirchick regularly counsels high net worth individuals on trust administration, estate planning, and wealth transfer strategies. The guide noted, "He’s one of the old guard in Boston and has been doing this forever. He's an accomplished lawyer and a strong technician,"
