Nutter Represents Hans Kissle Company, LLC in its $108 Million Acquisition by Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

Boston – Nutter represented Hans Kissle Company, LLC, a manufacturer of private label and branded foods for retail, foodservice, club, and convenience store customers throughout the United States, in its acquisition by Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a Japanese diversified industrial holding company. The legal team was led by Will Bernat, co-chair of Nutter’s Food and Beverage group, and included Jonathan Calla and Ellie Myers on corporate matters; Tim Smith and David Libardoni on real estate matters; Mike Mooney on tax matters; Crescent Moran Chasteen and David Rubin on labor and employment matters; and Matt Ritchie on litigation matters.

The total value of the transaction was approximately $108 million. Hans Kissle, founded in 1984, develops, manufactures, and sells a wide range of high-quality, wholesale delicatessen main and side dishes, desserts, and other prepared foods for supermarkets and grocery stores throughout the United States.
