Presentation PDF

Employers across the United States are implementing guidance from public health authorities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The rapid spread of the virus and the dizzying pace of announcements and developments at the local, state, national, and international levels are presenting unique challenges for the workplace. And, of course, employers already are confronting the business realities of the virus’ impact on the economy.

Members of Nutter’s Labor, Employment and Benefits, Privacy and Data Security, and Tax practice groups will answer some of the more frequently asked employers’ questions and present guidance on hypothetical scenarios to assist employers in managing COVID-19 concerns during the workplace in this webinar. We will hold time at the end of the webinar for questions from attendees.

Topics include:

  • Protecting your workforce
  • Working remotely
  • Wage and hour implications
  • Layoffs, furloughs, and job shares
  • Salary or pay reductions
  • Earned sick leave and FMLA coverage
  • Protecting employees’ confidential health information
  • Tax considerations
  • Legislative updates
