Liam O’Connell and Mike Scott, co-managing partners of Nutter, have earned recognition as “Top Managing Partners” from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for the third consecutive year. Featured in the “Managing Partners Spotlight,” the duo were praised for their dynamic leadership. This recognition from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly adds to the accolades the pair has recently received. Earlier this year, Lawdragon named Liam and Mike to the The 2026 Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know list.

Beyond their firm leadership roles, Liam and Mike are both highly regarded in the legal field, with Liam focusing on labor and employment and Mike on real estate. Liam maintains active national litigation and labor and employment practices. He regularly represents clients in employment-related litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country.  Liam also represents clients in the collective bargaining of union contracts, represents employers in union-organizing campaigns, represents clients in grievance and arbitration proceedings, and represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board. In addition, Liam regularly represents employers in proceedings before the Occupational Safety and Health Commission and litigation related thereto. Mike represents developers, corporate, institutional, and investment clients in all aspects of commercial development, acquisition, disposition, and repositioning of assets. He has significant experience in matters involving zoning and land use, regulatory permitting, real estate development, and environmental remediation and compliance.

The “Top Managing Partners” list celebrates managing partners who exhibit exceptional leadership within their firms and the broader legal community.
