Nutter Partner Paul J. Ayoub has been selected to serve as Vice Chair of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Board of Governors. Ayoub is the former Chair of the ALSAC Board of Directors and continues to serve on the ALSAC Board. ALSAC is the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. The members of the Board of Governors are volunteers who serve without compensation and provide governance and strategic oversight for St. Jude. Since the hospital opened in 1962, the Board of Governors has been involved in the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children.®

Ayoub joined the ALSAC/St. Jude Boards in 1992. He serves on the Executive Committee of Nutter, where he represents a broad range of commercial real estate, for-profit and nonprofit business clients both locally and nationally. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and is past president of the Real Estate Finance Association.

“We are so grateful for Paul’s long-time leadership and for his service to our mission of finding cures for children suffering from cancer and other life-threatening diseases,” said Marlo Thomas, daughter of the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who founded ALSAC and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “As an Officer of our Board, he will play a critical role in supporting my father’s dream that we will reach a day when no child will die in the dawn of life.”

Ayoub’s father, Joseph S. Ayoub, Sr., served for several decades on the ALSAC/St. Jude Boards as well as an Emeritus Board member beginning from the earliest days of both organizations.

Duties of the St. Jude Board of Governors include governing the organization and establishing new policies, selecting and reviewing the performance of chief executive officers, ensuring the availability of adequate financial resources, approving annual budgets and overall accounting for the ethics, compliance and performance of the organization.

Paul J. Ayoub, Nutter partner and former ALSAC Board Chair, has been elected Vice Chair of the St. Jude Board. ALSAC and St. Jude were founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. Paul is pictured with National Outreach Director Marlo Thomas, daughter of Danny Thomas.
