For the second consecutive year, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption named Nutter to its “Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces” list, which ranks organizations with the most robust adoption and foster care benefits. Nutter was also recognized in its “Best By Size 2023,” “Best Leave 2023,” and “Foster Care Benefits 2023” lists.

Nutter provides financial assistance for adoption and fertility treatments, and compassionate leave is available for attorneys and business services staff who have experienced a miscarriage or failed surrogacy, adoption, or fertility treatment.

The Firm offers financial assistance for eligible adoption-related expenses, such as agency and placement fees; immigration, immunization, and translation fees; legal fees and court costs; and home studies. Nutter also provides financial support for eligible fertility-related expenses not covered by health insurance. Employees do not need to establish a medical diagnosis of “infertility” to seek the available financial assistance.

In addition to providing benefits, Nutter offers a wide array of programs to support caregiving, mental health, and wellness. These resources include, among other benefits, parenting seminars with external speakers, mental health seminars with external mental health experts, elderly care resources platform, employee assistant program (EAP), academic tutoring support, and college admissions coaches.

The Dave Thomas Foundation partnered with RTI International, an independent, nonprofit research institute, to survey employers across the United States and score participants based on three criteria: financial reimbursement, paid leave, and the percentage of employees eligible for those benefits.
