Mary Ryan, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department, was recently featured in the ABA Journal following her election to the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association (ABA). The article, "Meet Mary Ryan, the newest member of the ABA's Board of Governors," describes Mary's long-term involvement with the organization, which began when she joined the Section of Litigation’s Environmental Litigation Committee early in her career. Before and during her term as the president of the Boston Bar Association, which began in 1997, she also participated in the National Conference of Bar Presidents. She later became the BBA delegate to the House of Delegates.

In addition, Mary served as chair of the Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services and as a member of the Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defense.
