BOSTON – Nutter has been recognized as one of the “Top Places to Work” in Massachusetts in the 11th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. “Top Places to Work” recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state voted on by the people who know them best – their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement.

Nutter ranked 35th in the large company category, and was one of two law firms out of the 128 business entities recognized overall. There were 318 participating businesses, with more than 82,000 individuals who took the survey.

Earlier this year, the Boston Business Journal selected Nutter as a 2018 “Best Places to Work” honoree, the only law firm recognized this year. This survey was also based on employee feedback and evaluated Nutter on communication and resources; individual needs; manager effectiveness; personal engagement; team dynamics; and trust in leadership.

“We are delighted that these two prestigious organizations recognized Nutter as an outstanding workplace this year,” said Deborah J. Manus, Nutter’s managing partner. “In many ways, The Boston Globe and Boston Business Journal survey results confirm what we already know: that Nutter attorneys and staff exemplify legal excellence; a collaborative, practical approach; and an unwavering dedication to helping our clients achieve the best possible outcomes.”

The Boston Globe’s “Top Places to Work” rankings are based on confidential survey information from nearly 82,151 individuals at 318 Massachusetts organizations. The winners share a few key traits, including offering progressive benefits, giving their employees a voice, and encouraging them to have some fun while they’re at it.
