Melissa Sampson McMorrow, chair of Nutter’s Tax Department and co-chair of the Nonprofit and Social Impact practice group, will speak at the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) webinar, “Group Exemption Update: What You Need to Know About New Rules.”

Almost six years after it announced it would stop accepting applications for group tax-exemption, the IRS announced earlier this year (in Revenue Procedure 2026-8) that it would resume accepting group applications. During this session, Melissa will address the long-awaited new rules, how these requirements vary from earlier guidance, and what practitioners can expect as they advise clients on applying for group exemption.
