Writing for The Investment Lawyer, Mark Jensen Analyzes the New Fund Liquidity Rules

Mark Jensen, Of Counsel in Nutter’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Securities Enforcement and Litigation practice group, authored an article that analyzed the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) new mutual fund liquidity risk management rules in The Investment Lawyer. In the article, “Beyond Investor Protection: Will New Fund Liquidity Rules Mitigate ‘Systemic Risk?’”, Mark outlined how that in addition to reducing risk more broadly, the SEC’s more novel objective is to reduce systemic risk and, in particular, the stated concern that bond mutual funds could experience shareholder redemptions large enough to contribute to future financial crises.
