Seth Berman Discusses Cybersecurity Threats in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Seth Berman, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department and leader of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security practice group, commented on the federal judiciary’s announcement that it is working to bolster the security of online dockets following recent cyberattacks in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. In the article, “Cybersecurity experts assess threats to federal courts’ online dockets,” Seth noted that it would be a mistake to downplay the hacking threat on the basis that the federal courts’ online dockets are public filing systems.
“Courts are generally public. But they also keep a lot of secrets. And some of those secrets are quite important for the country to keep,” Seth noted.
