Nutter is proud to announce its support for the goals of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Resolution 113, “Promoting Diversity in the Legal Profession,” urging all legal services providers to expand and create opportunities for diverse attorneys and urging clients to assist in the facilitation of opportunities for diverse attorneys.

“We believe the Resolution will encourage greater openness, opportunity, and accountability in the legal profession,” said Deb Manus, Managing Partner of Nutter. “The Resolution also aligns with Nutter’s ongoing commitment to building a more diverse, united, and energy-filled workplace to best serve our clients, the legal profession, and society.”

Diversity has long been a priority at Nutter, which strives to ensure that traditionally underrepresented groups work at every level of the firm. Nutter's efforts are led by its Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which is composed of both current and former members of its Executive, Legal Personnel, and Hiring Committees and associates.

Nutter is a longtime leader in the effort to build an inclusive legal profession. Recent examples of Nutter supporting diversity and inclusion in the community include the firm’s partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel to host the half-day summit, “The Diversity Imperative: Developing Successful Strategies to Achieve Diversity Leadership within the Legal Profession,” as well as its annual Nutter Speaker Series for Diversity and Inclusion, in which Nutter partners with Boston-area law school affinity groups to present events aimed at creating dialogue about diversity and inclusion issues.
