Kenneth Ehrlich, co-chair of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice, presented at the Maine Association of Community Banks CEO Midwinter Meeting on February 5. Ken presented on credit union-to-bank conversions with Mark Johnston, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kennebec Savings Bank in Augusta, Maine. Nutter represents Kennebec Savings Bank in connection with its planned merger with a local credit union (which is first converting to a bank). There have been only approximately seven bank-credit union mergers in the U.S.
