| Announcement

Nutter has been named a recipient of the Volunteer Lawyers Project’s (VLP) 2026 Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award in recognition of the firm's outstanding commitment to pro bono service. Nutter’s Private Client Department will be recognized for its significant support of VLP’s Wills Unit throughout the year, and the firm will also be recognized for its longstanding partnership with the Civil Appeals Clinic and Eastern Housing Court Lawyer for the Day Clinic, along with the additional pro bono work that the firm undertakes.

Nutter will receive the award at VLP’s Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on September 17 in Boston.

The Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award commemorates Denis Maguire, who served as the treasurer of both the VLP and the Boston Bar Association. He personified the commitment to public interest for which Boston lawyers are noted. VLP established the Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award in 1989 to honor the work of outstanding members of its pro bono panel and to commemorate Denis Maguire’s commitment to VLP and access to justice through pro bono efforts.
