Pat Concannon, a partner in Nutter’s Intellectual Property Department, will speak on a panel entitled “Trademark Issues in Pop Culture: Ripped from the Headlines” at the Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) Association’s 47th Annual Meeting. This session will dive into press and media treatment of trademark and copyright issues — what they get wrong, what they get right, and what really happens behind the scenes. In addition, Pat and the other panelists will explore how the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office addresses trademark filings based on “hot topics” from real-life events. Pat also serves on the conference’s Program Committee.
