Matt Hanaghan and Dan Hartman Present at the New Hampshire Bankers Association’s Fall Compliance Workshop

Print PDF

Matt Hanaghan and Dan Hartman, of counsel in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and members of the Banking and Financial Services group, will speak at the 2025 New Hampshire Bankers Association Fall Compliance Workshop, presented in partnership with the Vermont Bankers Association.

Matt and Dan’s presentation will focus on Automated Valuation Models (AVMs), their growing role in mortgage lending, and the new regulatory standards governing their use. In August 2024, federal agencies issued a rule requiring financial institutions to adopt quality-control standards for AVMs used in certain credit decisions. The rule is designed to ensure valuation accuracy, prevent data manipulation, and promote compliance with fair lending laws while guiding institutions in developing compliant policies and procedures.

Attendees will learn how to evaluate AVM frameworks, strengthen internal controls, and prepare for regulatory examinations under the new standards.
