David Ferrera Speaks at the BBA’s Practical Trial Skills Training

Print PDF

David Ferrera, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department and president-elect of the Boston Bar Foundation (BBF), will present at the Boston Bar Association’s “Litigating for Impact: Practical Trial Skills for Summary Process Cases” training session. He will lead sessions on opening and closing statements, focusing on how to craft clear and effective statements by sharing practical, real-world examples.

Experienced attorneys and judges will guide the audience through each stage of a summary process trial, and attendees will learn how to ask the right questions during direct examination, skillfully cross-examine opposing witnesses, and admit your evidence while keeping the other side’s out.

The program is held in collaboration with BBF Grantee, the Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP). After the session, attendees can put their enhanced litigation skills to use by volunteering with VLP’s Housing Team. Learn more about how to help advance access to justice through VLP’s Lawyer for the Day Program in the Eastern Housing Court.
