Nutter is a co-sponsor of the December 4 ACG Boston Family Business Conference “Private Equity and the Family Business: Conflict or Collaboration?” at The Westin Boston Waterfront. The conference features two panels “Can Private Equity & the Family Business Work Together?” and “Private Equity Financing Solutions for the Family Business,” followed by a networking reception.
The first session will be led by two renowned family business experts, Richard Narva, Founder, Narva & Company, and Dirk Dreux, Principal, Dreux Consulting LLC, who will provide a point/counterpoint as to the advantages and challenges private equity firms face in working with family businesses and what it takes for a successful, productive relationship. The second session features family business owners and investors in an engaged discussion sharing their experiences about how they financed their growth and the role private equity can play. Additionally, they will discuss the considerations they faced in deciding whether to use outside funding to achieve their growth goals or to go it alone without outside capital. Aron Ain, CEO of Kronos Inc., will give the keynote address. Over 150 ACG Boston members are expected to attend.
