Nutter is sponsoring the Boston chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)’s monthly meeting on July 19. The program, “Ensuring Data Protection and Compliance in the Cloud,” which is jointly presented by both the CSA and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), will bring both privacy and thought leaders together to provide an overview of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with a focus on cross border transfers. The program will provide attendees with specific information on what it means to cloud vendors as well as implications for enterprises who place workloads in the cloud. A panel discussion will include vendors and enterprises who are engaged in meeting GDPR requirements and topics include what one needs to be concerned about as an enterprise or vendor with various customer-facing and internal workloads in the cloud and what one needs to do to prepare. A networking reception will follow the event.
