Nutter will host The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, “Pro Bono Representation Before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims,” which will address Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits and litigation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). CLE credit is available for this training. Program topics will include:

• Options after the VA has finally denied a claim
• Chronology of appeal and CAVC practice and procedure
• Judicial review
• Common VA errors raised and settlement issues faced by counsel
• Attorney fees under the EAJA
• Service-connected disability compensation
• Dependency and indemnity compensation, and non-service-connected disability pension
• VA claims process
