Will Bernat and Chris Lindstrom to Present ‘Employee Compensation & Equity: Preparing for Growth’ Workshop

Print PDF

Understanding equity compensation is crucial as you prepare to grow and scale your team. Therefore, on November 15th start up founders and entrepreneurs are invited to join us for a luncheon workshop with Will Bernat, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and co-chair of the firm’s Emerging Companies Group, and Chris Lindstrom, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department and member of the firm’s Labor, Employment and Benefits practice group. The event will focus on how to create an equity plan that’s both attractive to new hires and promotes retention; best equity compensation practices (from both a legal and accounting perspective) when hiring, firing, and incentivizing your team; how to think about equity as an early stage company; how to structure your non-competes to protect your IP rights; and the difference between shares, stock options, and profit interests.
