Overview

John K. Matsumoto is a partner in Nutter’s Private Client Department. John counsels clients on tax efficient and practical strategies to meet their personal estate planning objectives. He assists individuals, families, and businesses with their legal needs and focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and dispute resolution.

John is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning, Tax Law, and Elder Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association as well as having served as Treasurer of the Elder Law Section. He is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and has hosted a weekly radio program on estate planning, probate, and trust administration. In addition, John authored a chapter in the Encyclopedia of Estate Planning sponsored by the Hawaii State Bar Association.

Prior to entering the practice of law, John was an acquisition specialist handling mergers and acquisitions in Los Angeles and the accounting manager for Century Small Business Solutions in Honolulu.
