Nutter Attorneys Participate in the 2022 Talk to the Hill Virtual EventPrint PDF
On January 27, Nutter attorneys will participate in Talk to the Hill 2022, a virtual iteration of the annual Walk to the Hill event. Talk to the Hill 2022 will allow lawyers and advocates to gather virtually and urge state legislators to provide $41 million for civil legal aid in the Commonwealth’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget.
This legal aid is especially necessary to account for the added need brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nutter has supported Walk to the Hill since its inaugural year.
In preparation for this event, Nutter attorneys shared their thoughts on why civil legal aid is essential:
Nick Stabile, Associate, 2022 Captain:
I talk… for justice, dignity and decency for all.
Deb Manus, Chair, Nutter and President, Boston Bar Association
I talk… because "A stitch in time saves nine." (Ask your mother.)
John McBrine, Partner:
I talk… to support all our dedicated colleagues who work tirelessly to deliver free legal services to so many.
Cassandra Prince, Associate:
I talk… because access to civil legal aid can be the difference between life and death.
