Tim Murphy Presents on Patents in MCLE’s Webinar

Print PDF

Tim Murphy, a partner in Nutter’s Intellectual Property Department, will discuss patents in a webinar organized by MCLE. In the program, “What Non-Patent Attorneys Should Know About Patents,” Tim will outline how companies need to understand what types of inventions can and should be protected by patents, be aware of deadlines for filing a patent application, appreciate whether a given patent strategy will be effective in preventing others from stealing the underlying inventive idea, keep track of what their engineers and scientists are working on, determine when to bring in a registered patent attorney or agent to protect an invention, make sure that the company owns the invention, and avoid infringing patents owned by other companies.
