Jonathan Kotlier and Ian Roffman present at the BBA’s program “Securities Enforcement 2015”

Jonathan L. Kotlier, chair of the Government Investigations and White Collar Crime practice group and Ian Roffman, chair of the Litigation Department and a member of the Securities Enforcement and Litigation practice group, served as panelist and moderator at the Boston Bar Association’s program “Securities Enforcement 2015” on April 9. The program included three panels featuring attorneys from the Securities & Exchange Commission, the U.S. Attorney's office, and private practice. The panelists reviewed recent SEC / USAO trends, explored strategies to take in the courtroom, and provided helpful approaches for practitioners representing clients under investigation, when indicted, and during appeals.

Topics included: 

  • An update on local securities enforcement. 
  • Effectively representing clients before the SEC/USAO. 
  • SEC enforcement in play-to-play arena.
