Overview

Kimberly A. Murakami is an of counsel in Nutter’s Private Client Department. She focuses her practices on probate and trust administration. Kim has extensive experience in bringing informal and formal probate applications as well as will and trust interpretation matters to Probate Court in Hawaii’s First, Second, Third, and Fifth Circuit Courts. She has also represented fiduciaries in the transactional resolution of estates and trusts.

Kim is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association Probate & Estate Planning section.

Prior to joining Nutter, Kim was a trusts and estates attorney at a Honolulu law firm. She gained legal experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin S.C. Chang, who was then the Probate and Administrative Judge at the First Circuit Court. Kim also served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry M. Kurren.

During law school, Kim served as comments editor of the University of Hawaiʻi Law Review. She has published an article in the American Law Reports entitled, Construction and Application of No Child Left Behind Act, 4 A.L.R. Fed.2d 103 (2005).
