Overview

Amy Venugopal is an associate in Nutter’s Private Client Department. She focuses her practice on the design, implementation, and administration of sophisticated estate plans for individuals and families. Amy works closely with clients to understand their personal, financial, and legacy planning objectives, and develops tailored strategies to help preserve and transfer wealth efficiently across generations.

Amy advises clients on a broad range of estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other foundational estate planning documents. She regularly counsels fiduciaries and beneficiaries on trust and estate administration matters, guiding clients through the legal and practical issues that arise during the administration process. In addition, Amy represents clients in probate proceedings.

Dedicated to community engagement, Amy is a board member of Hanami Hope, which preserves and presents the stories and histories of visionary Asian Americans to promote a more inclusive community.

Before joining Nutter, Amy practiced law at an estate planning boutique in San Francisco. She also gained legal experience as a staff editor of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review during law school.
