Overview

Alexander R. Franzosa is an associate in Nutter’s Real Estate Department. He advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. He also assists clients with permitting, environmental matters, and administrative appeals and litigation, both at the state and federal level.

In these areas, Alexander has assisted clients with the following representative matters:

  • Appeals of federal NPDES permits and state SWDP permits for wastewater treatment districts.
  • Representation of an owner and developer in connection with a $23 million acquisition of a downtown Boston office property.
  • Representation of a lender in connection with a $15 million loan for acquisition of a mobile home park.

Alexander has experience working as a law clerk for a boutique law firm specializing in employment law. He also interned for Judge Howard Speicher at the Massachusetts Land Court, where he gained specialized experience in matters of real estate law.

During law school, Alexander was a senior editor and writer for the Boston College Law Review. Prior to law school, Alexander was an associate scientist at Pace Analytical Life Sciences, where he worked on small molecule pharmaceutical formulation research and development. He also served as a legislative intern for Rep. Dave Rogers at the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Active in the community, Alexander is a former member of the Community Preservation Act Committee and a former Town Meeting member in the Town of Arlington.
