Writing for Banker & Tradesman, Tom Curry Analyzes the Current Status of Fintech Regulation

Tom Curry, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and a co-leader of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services group, wrote an article that examined the national debate surrounding the regulation of financial technology (Fintech) companies in Banker & Tradesman. In the article, “Debate Over New Regulations Could Give Fintechs Options,” Tom concludes that the “business of banking” is rapidly changing and thus the regulatory framework surrounding banking is changing with it. He points out that changes in the industry and the regulatory responses at both the federal and state level are important for continued growth and innovation, but will include uncertainty as new frameworks develop.
