The Boston Globe reported today that the Boston Bar Association (BBA) has created a Tax-Exempt Organization Section to "address the needs of lawyers serving hospitals, health care organizations (including HMOs), colleges and universities, cultural organizations, museums, religious institutions, humanitarian and social service organizations," among others. The Section is co-chaired by Melissa McMorrow, a partner in the Tax Department and member of Nutter Charitable Advisors, who represents a wide range of charitable and other nonprofit organizations at the federal, state and international levels.
