Tom Curry, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and co-leader of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services group, discussed the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which ensures that banks meet the credit needs of the communities in which they operate, in The Vineyard Gazette. In the article, “Vineyard Community Banks Thrive, Grow and Compete,” Tom noted that there are no specific requirements for compliance, but a bank that receives a low CRA score may lose the trust of their community and suffer financially.
