Nutter Hosts Veterans Law Training
Print PDFNutter will host a veterans law training seminar on October 26th in the Louis D. Brandeis Conference Center for attorneys throughout the area who are interested in representing veterans pro bono before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Nutter’s Pro Bono Committee is offering this significant training event in collaboration with the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program.
The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program currently seeks volunteer lawyers to assist veterans in obtaining entitled benefits denied by the Veterans Administration. This free seminar offers attendees an opportunity to learn about representing a veteran in this unique area of law.
Lawyers who attend the full day of free training also receive a veterans law manual and ongoing access to a mentor lawyer. As part of the training, the lawyer agrees to take a screened case before the U. S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Attendees do not need prior experience to attend nor do they need to reside near the court.
Questions about the program should be addressed to Tammie Garner, Director of Professional Development, at tgarner@nutter.com.
