Overview

Meredith L. Lawrence is the Assistant Firm Counsel and Director of Client Intake and Conflicts at Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP. In this role, Meredith advises firm attorneys on their ethical obligations, including identifying and resolving conflicts of interest associated with new business opportunities. Meredith also counsels on risk management on a firm-wide basis in conjunction with both day-to-day and long-term business considerations. 

Prior to joining Nutter, Meredith was the Manager of Client Intake and Conflicts Control at Ropes & Gray, where she managed the conflicts department of 30+ personnel across five locations globally. Previously, Meredith was an attorney, managing member, and co-founder of Lawrence Law Group LLC, a law firm specializing in civil litigation, mediation, estate planning, and real estate. Earlier in her career, Meredith was an associate in the Boston office of a leading East Coast-based law firm where she received the firm’s 2011 pro bono award in recognition of her representation of a minor in a care and protection proceeding that enabled her client to pursue lawful permanent residence in the U.S.

Meredith has served on the Town of Dover Long Range Planning Committee, which works with other Dover boards and committees to support their long-range planning activities. She is an active participant in managing the Landmann Family Fund, a familial charitable foundation dedicated to assisting charities and worthy causes in New England and New York.

Admitted in Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Meredith earned her B.S. from Bates College and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
