Kenneth Ehrlich is a partner in the Business Department and co-chair of the Banking and Financial Services practice group. He serves as corporate and regulatory counsel to banks, savings institutions, and other financial institutions. He has practiced extensively before the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, OTS, and the Massachusetts Division of Banks.
Ken addresses a wide range of banking clients' needs, including new bank formations, mergers and acquisitions, holding company formations, conversions, interstate expansion, the introduction of new products and services, including securities, insurance and trust services, and electronic banking. He is a past co-chair of both the Business Law Section and the Banking and Financial Services Law Committee of the Boston Bar Association. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bank Insurance Association and a member of the American Bar Association Banking Law Committee.
The U.K. publisher Chambers and Partners ranked Ken among the leading U.S. Banking & Finance attorneys in the 2004-2010 editions of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. He was named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the November 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 issues of Boston magazine and a Corporate Counsel Super Lawyer in 2009. Ken is a frequent author and speaker on issues affecting the banking industry. He has lectured at Boston University's Morin Center for Banking and Financial Law, teaching the course Bank Structure and Regulation in the L.L.M. program from 2004-2009.
