John Loughnane, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department, was elected president of the Holy Cross Lawyers Association (HCLA) at the organization’s recent annual meeting. He will serve a two year term. In this role, John will work with the HCLA board to spearhead the HCLA’s various initiatives. The HCLA is an affinity group of the College of the Holy Cross formed to facilitate opportunities for community service, professional development, and continuing education. The HCLA also supports experiential learning programs (including trial and mediation teams) housed within the College’s J.D. Power Center for Liberal Arts in the World.
John previously served as a board member of the HCLA and has served as president of the Holy Cross Club of Boston. He is also a member of the Holy Cross Alumni Association Senate.
Membership in the HCLA is open to all Holy Cross graduates who are practicing law, serving as jurists, teaching law, in law school, or who are otherwise employed in a position involving the law.
