Gary Gill-Austern Weighs In on Proposed Agreement for Waste-to-Energy Plant in WHAV

Gary L. Gill-Austern, a member of Nutter’s Real Estate and Finance Department and the Environmental and Land Use practice groups, commented on a proposed agreement concerning the waste-to-energy plant in Haverhill in WHAV. In the article “City to Pay Less for Trash Disposal, Receive More Money,” Gary pointed out that the effect of removing recyclables from maximum trash allowed at the plant is an increase by approximately 15,000 tons per calendar year, an increase of roughly 2.5 percent of the amount now received at the facility.
