Konstantin Linnik, Ph.D., a partner in Nutter’s Intellectual Property Department and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences practice group, will serve as a guest speaker at the UK BioIndustry Association’s (BIA) lunchtime seminar on February 2 in London. Konstantin will present on recent developments in patent eligibility law in the United States and how they affect UK biotech companies, including diagnostics and bioinformatics. Konstantin and his colleagues at Nutter represented BIA and six other global industry associations in an amicus brief filing at the U.S. Supreme Court in the seminal case of Sequenom v. Ariosa.
The BIA is the trade association for innovative enterprises involved in UK bioscience and works to further the interests of members and the industry nationally and internationally.
