Jay Cabral, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and a member of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services group, will present on hot topics in bank and credit union regulation at a joint conference organized by the Massachusetts Bankers Association (MBA) and the Boston chapter of the Financial Managers Society (FMS). Jay will address the current regulatory environment for banks and credit unions in the Commonwealth. As financial services regulatory reform continues to evolve in 2019 and going forward, Jay will discuss the changing regulatory landscape and provide context and summarize current developments across a range of key regulatory areas, agencies, and actors. He will also focus on expected areas of continued regulatory and industry concern in the near term, including issues such as ongoing, long-term industry consolidation, asset quality, credit administration, BSA/AML, cybersecurity and data privacy, consumer compliance, third-party risk management, and financial technology.
