Overview
Katy O. Meszaros is of counsel in Nutter’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Product Liability practice group. Clients rely on Katy’s extensive knowledge of FDA regulations and required documentation, complaint reporting, operating room protocol, and a variety of other issues related to the design, manufacture, and sale of prescription drugs and medical devices.
Notable Experience and Client Impact:
- Represents a major manufacturer of prosthetic knee and hip implants against medical device product liability suits.
- Defends pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in product liability suits in state and federal courts around the country concerning orthopaedic implants, painkillers, contraceptives, aesthetic fillers, and surgical tools and instruments.
- Represents corporations in general commercial litigation suits, including breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, and consumer protection claims.
Katy is actively involved in the firm’s pro bono efforts and has represented a number of clients in housing, unemployment, immigration, and asylum matters. She has mentored and advised Boston elementary and middle school students in their academic endeavors through a number of programs sponsored by Citizens Schools.
During law school, Katy served as editor-in-chief of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy and was a staff member of the Moot Court Honor Board. Katy was named a Distinguished Oral Advocate and was a recipient of the Academic Trustee Scholarship.

Before Nutter
During law school, Katy served as editor-in-chief of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy and was a staff member of the Moot Court Honor Board. Katy was named a Distinguished Oral Advocate and was a recipient of the Academic Trustee Scholarship.

Katy served as a speaker at Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) 2017 Drug and Medical Device Seminar in New Orleans, LA. Katy presented “Blurred Lines: The Growing Question of Sales Rep Liability in Medical Device Cases” during the Young Lawyer Blockbuster featured portion of the event.
