A Nutter team led by partner William F. Kennedy recently represented the City of Quincy in its negotiation of a complex and unique Land Disposition Agreement with Street-Works, LLC. and Bob Fishman, chair of the firm’s Land Use, Permitting and Development practice group, served as special counsel on the negotiation, which involves a $1.3 billion project to redevelop downtown Quincy.

Plans for the project include remaking the downtown shopping district into a new urban destination, with modern homes, restaurants, and retail stores. The redeveloped city center will contain up to 1,200 new apartments and condominiums, more than 1 million square feet of offices, two hotels, a health and wellness center, approximately 600,000 square feet of new restaurants and stores, and a four-acre public green connected to a historic and cultural center.
