Print PDF

Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP today celebrates the 130th anniversary of its founding on July 29, 1879. One of the longest serving and most distinguished firms in New England, the firm (originally called Warren & Brandeis) was founded by Louis D. Brandeis, who practiced at the firm for 35 years before being appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, and Samuel D. Warren, the Harvard Law School classmate and friend who convinced Brandeis that they should start a practice together. Nutter honors the founding partners’ rich legacy and continues to uphold the standards they set -- of focused dedication, innovation and unwavering commitment -- as we recognize with gratitude the talented lawyers, clients and relationships that have propelled the firm's legal practice, growth and success well into a second century.
