Nutter tied for 18th place in the U.S. in bank mergers and acquisitions in 2007, by number of deals, according to M&A Annual, published by the American Banker on February 12. The survey ranked top lead legal advisers in two categories, by deal value and number of deals. With five bank M&A transactions in 2007, a combined deal value of $127.7 million, Nutter ranked second among New England-based law firms in number of deals.
