Shagha Tousi, a partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Product Liability and Toxic Tort Litigation practice group, presented at the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Friday Fundamental Series program “The Basics of Product Liability Law in Massachusetts” on January 22. The program, geared towards new lawyers and anyone new to the product liability arena, provided an introduction to the current state of the law in product liability cases in Massachusetts. Topics discussed included the basics of alleging and defending product liability cases in the Commonwealth, the legal issues that commonly arise throughout the case, and tips on what to watch out for at various stages of the case, whether in connection with fact discovery, working with experts, or common pre-trial issues. The BBA’s Friday Fundamental Series is designed to help new attorneys build the practical skills needed to represent clients.
