Ronald E. Cahill, co-chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation practice group and member of the Emerging Companies practice group, spoke at the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) program “Patent Law Crosses the Great Divide: Litigation and Prosecution Perspectives on ‘Divided Infringement’ after Akamai-McKesson” on October 10. The program focused on the Federal Circuit’s recent en banc Akamai-McKesson opinion, the sweeping changes made to the law of inducing divided infringement, and the new obstacles raised for lawyers navigating this subject due to the Federal Circuit’s deeply fractured opinions on the issue.
