Konstantin Linnik moderates MassBio Forum “Best Practices in Protecting and Exploiting Intellectual Property”

Konstantin Linnik, a partner in the firm’s Life Sciences practice group, will moderate a panel of experts at the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio) Forum entitled “Best Practices in Protecting and Exploiting Intellectual Property” on July 17. Konstantin currently serves as a co-chair of MassBio’s Legal and Regulatory committee. The July 17 panel will address a broad range of IP-related topics including: 

  • Impact of the patent reform on patent filing strategies 
  • Subject matter eligibility under Myriad and Prometheus: US v. Rest of the World 
  • How to properly project IP expenses and maximize ROI short and long-term 
  • Balancing disclosure, ownership, enablement and obviousness in charting out an IP strategy 
  • Major legal differences between biological and chemical entities 
  • Tools and resources available to for patent analyses and IP management
