Nutter will sponsor Playworks New England's’ “Rock, Paper, Scissors FUNdraising Tournament,” which aims to raise over $15,000 for the organization’s Girls’ Basketball League. Playworks New England's girls’ basketball leagues give over 550 girls in Boston and Lawrence the opportunity to play in an organized sports league; for many, it is the first time playing on a team. Through the sports league, girls are able to learn critical skills like teamwork, leadership, communication, and conflict resolution. Playworks New England creates a safe, inclusive school environment that allows kids to learn, play and thrive.
