David Sullivan, twenty-year veteran tax attorney joins Nutter

The law firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish has expanded its corporate tax practice with the addition of veteran attorney David Sullivan, who joins the firm as a partner from Foley & Lardner LLP. Mr. Sullivan has more than twenty years experience in all aspects of federal and state taxation and has represented closely held and emerging businesses with a particular emphasis on structuring and implementing financing, venture capital, joint venture, merger and development transactions.

In addition to business tax planning, Mr. Sullivan offers experience in tax controversies, audits and litigation, including trial work before the Federal Tax Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Appellate Tax Board, and has worked extensively with individuals in developing and integrating their estate, business and financial plans.
Mr. Sullivan is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court and in The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Boston Tax Council and the Massachusetts Bar Association, and has been named a Massachusetts SuperLawyer by Boston Magazine. He also serves on the Town of Hamilton, Massachusetts Zoning Board of Appeals.
Mr. Sullivan received a J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and an LL.M., cum laude, from Boston University, and holds a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.
