Pratt Norton Wiley is an attorney in the Business Department, where he represents clients in public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions and tax-exempt bond issues. Pratt’s clients include privately held and publicly traded companies and not-for-profit institutions in industries including education, insurance, medical device, manufacturing and technology.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Pratt was a senior administrator at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, where he served as the special assistant to the senior vice president for Administration & Finance. He also worked at the international internet consulting group, Zentropy Partners, as a manager in the firm’s sales and marketing group.
Pratt is extensively involved in civic and charitable activities. He currently serves as chair of the Shady Hill School Alumni Board and as a director of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association and currently serves as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Business Law Section's Public Policy Committee and was appointed to serve on an ad hoc committee evaluating the organization structure of the Association. Pratt was selected by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce as a Future Leader in 2008.
He is past chair of the Community Advisory Board for the WGBH Foundation, Boston’s local public television and radio stations, and served on the development committee for Roxbury Preparatory Charter School, an elementary school in Roxbury, MA, which serves under-privileged youth.
Pratt is an active and engaged citizen and has worked on behalf of candidates seeking local, state and national office. He has also worked in the Mayor’s Office in Washington, DC.
During law school, Pratt was elected president of the Law Student Association; was appointed by the dean to serve on the school’s Ad Hoc Committee on Pro Bono Service; and founded and served as chair of the Business & Law Society.
